Reading iformation about focus control on Kodak.com I learned that most cameras have a "center-weighted" focus and focus on what is in the center which can make it hard to take off center photos using 1/3 rule. To focus on the object or person, put them in the center and push the shutter button halfway down. Leave the button pushed half way and move the camera until it looks the way you want. Take the picture and the object or person should be in focus while still being off center.

I checked out the General Camera care on Kodak.com. Most of the information was very basic. However, I think students could really benefit from this site. Especially students who will be using dig. cameras for the first time. I could see myself using a graphic organizer for studetns to locate specific information and giving a mini-quiz on camera care.

I read the article containing the information on video output to TV monitors. Wow, this is way cool. First, I didn't realize that you could even do that!

I would use this in my language arts class by having the students take pictures about a story we read and retell it w/ the picures infront of the whole class. Or, maybe have them write a story and present it to the class using the dig. camera pics. for visual aids.

Oh, the possibilities are endless!
